March 2008: I get an email from my good friend-pretty-much-a-sister Sarah. She needs a corset to go over her pale-yellow dress for Renaissance Faire this summer. Also, if possible, she would like to be able to wear it during a pregnancy. Done deal.
The corset is one layer of cotton canvas and one fashion layer--an orange/yellow crossweave of indeterminate fiber content. It's actually three pieces; the center front is one panel that laces (size 00 grommets, antique silver) to two side back pieces for greater size adjustability. Also, it looks cool.
While I'm only responsible for the corset part of this outfit, I do know that the underdress is a silk-imitation polyester fabric in a light lemon-yellow color.
